Legal Expenses Cover for home owners
The policy provides access to expert advisors, and financial support to cover legal costs and expenses (up to £100,000) for the following events:
- Disputes over selling or buying goods and/or services
- Disputes over physical damage to property
- Claims arising from personal injury or death
- Claims involving an industrial tribunal arising from a contract of employment
Also included within Legal Expenses Cover is Identity Fraud Protection. Identity theft is when personal details are stolen and identity fraud is when those details are then used to commit fraud. The policy covers advisors costs in dealing with organisations that have been fraudulently applied to, liaising with credit reference agencies on the policyholders behalf, and defending legal rights.
In addition, a 24-hour telephone advisory service is also provided for advice on any private legal matter.
3XD Legal Expenses Cover can be added to a Buildings and/or Contents policy and has a fixed cost of £1.95 per month (including IPT).
